Full-Time Managing Director Wanted:
This is an exciting opportunity to take a leadership position at Chicago Dramatists. We are an innovative, nationally recognized, 40-year-old non-profit organization committed to the advancement of BIPOC artists. As a community of dramatists, we help lead the country in the creative development of new and experienced dramatic writers, wherever they are in their creative journey. We are hiring a full-time managing director who will be responsible for the day-to-day business management of our dynamic, creative organization. This position will build upon your leadership and managerial skills and provide new opportunities for professional growth. Your responsibilities include:
- Up holding and instilling our cultural values and building our community with acceptance, support and dignity
- Supporting our outreach to diverse and BIPOC communities
- Overseeing financial management of the organization
- Interacting with board members to support fundraising, marketing and other income generating opportunities
- Leading operational activities
- Managing staff in specific operational and marketing activities
You will need intelligence, responsibility, a strong work ethic and the ability to work with and manage people in a positive manner. Salary range $40,000 – $50,000 depending upon experience.
