The afternoon’s steady rain gave way to a glorious evening as 175 friends gathered to toast Chicago Dramatists’ playwrights and its 29th season of nurturing and producing new work for the American theatre. Old friends and new mingled in the gardens of Galleria Marchetti and after dining in the pavilion, enjoyed a stunning performance by the gracious, charming and amazingly talented Ann Hampton Callaway.
