Ten Min Workshop (10/16/2010)

by Resident Playwright Aline Lathrop
Directed by Guest Artist Kimberly Senior
When Christine Mason fell in love with a soldier, she created a lie that has distanced her from her twin children for twenty-four years. As the far-flung family reunites for a Thanksgiving weekend in their small, Midwestern town, each member comes armed with a unique coping strategy. When the festivities unfold, it becomes clear that the feast this group craves has little to do with turkey.
Aline Lathrop is the recipient of an Illinois Arts Council Playwriting Fellowship and a Dr. Donahue Tremaine grant. Her work has been seen at theatres and universities around the country, including American Theate Company, Boarshead Theatre, Centre Stage-South Carolina!, the Chicago Cultural Center, Circle Theatre of Forest Park, Famous Door Theatre Company, Stage Left Theatre, Roosevelt University, and Northwestern University. Ms. Lathrop is a member of the Dramatists Guild, The Playwrights Collective, and is a Chicago Dramatists Resident Playwright..
