Cultural Crossroads

A Prelude to the Many Voices Project

Please join us as we announce the finalists for the Many Voices Project.

We invite you to walk through the multi-cultural exhibit "The Gods as We Shape Them". It includes approximately 200 objects from ancient and contemporary cultures literally across the world. Among the areas represented are India, China, Japan, the Pacific islands, Asia Minor, the Middle East and sub Saharan Africa.

This event is a kick-off reception for the Many Voices Project, a multicultural playwrights reading festival which takes place July 10th, 2006 - July 23th, 2006 at Chicago Dramatists.

the artists of Chicago Dramatists, Congo Square Theatre Company, Rasaka Theatre Company, Urban Theatre Company, Teatro Luna, Teatro Vista and Silk Road Theatre Company as we celebrate the finalists of the Many Voices Project.

DIRECTIONS:
TO GET TO CHICAGO DRAMATISTS FROM THE NORTH: Take 90/94 east, exit at Ogden. At third stoplight, turn left onto Ogden. Go north to Milwaukee Ave and turn left. Make an immediate left onto Chicago Ave. Make two more immediate lefts onto May and Aberdeen respectively. Park on street. FROM THE SOUTH: Take 90/94 west, exit at Milwaukee/Augusta and turn left onto Milwaukee. Drive south over the interstate, then make a right onto Chicago Ave. Make two immediate lefts onto May and Aberdeen respectively. Park on street. FROM NORTH LSD: Take Grand Avenue exit. Make a right onto Grand and travel west to Milwaukee/Halsted streets (just past the Chicago River.) Turn right onto Milwaukee Ave (soft right) and head northwest to Chicago Ave. Make a right onto Chicago Avenue and go across the river, make a left on Michigan Avenue.
