Monday Night Drama Series

Time to add more drama to your Monday nights! The Saturday Series, Dramatists’ longest-running program, has moved to Monday nights. This off-night for the theatre industry allows  greater access to in-demand directors, actors, artistic directors, and producers PLUS attracts newer audiences already primed to attend evening performances over afternoons.

The Monday Night Drama Series events will consist of public readings of plays-in-progress from our Resident Playwrights or Alumni as well as other exciting additions, panel discussions, fireside chats with visiting artists, and more!

Tickets are only $10 or pay what you can at the door*! Upgrade to a $25 ticket and receive a signed copy of that night's script.

Tar and Feather by Kristin Idaszak, Resident Playwright

When Erin takes a #gaschamberselfie, it goes viral--and so does she. Her job offer gets rescinded, she's not allowed to go to class, and her family and friends abandon her. Everyone that is, except for Claudia, her best friend, who hatches a plan to confront Erin's anonymous online trolls. TAR AND FEATHER examines public shaming in the digital age. How close are any of us to a fall from grace? And how does a well-intended person transform into a troll?

*Ticket revenue only covers 10% of the total cost for the Monday Night Series so please consider contributing what you can to help new work get to the stage.
